Meditation Retreat in India

All Love Flows From the Self
Stories from the Upanishads with Thom Knoles
1-10 February 2009
In February we will gather with meditators from all over the world in the foothills of the Himalayas to begin an in-depth study of the Upanishads with our teacher Thom Knoles. Thom has taught more than 10,000 people to meditate over the past 40 years, and is widely recognised as one of the foremost authorities in the Vedic worldview.
The word Upanishad means literally “sitting at the feet of the master.” On the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh we will take a ten-day journey through these ancient stories. For thousands of years, these stories illustrating the relationship between one’s individual consciousness and cosmic consciousness have been cherished as sacred. Each story enlivens within the listener an aspect of the relationship of individual to cosmic. Heard in their proper sequence, these stories comprise an advanced technique to trigger the experience of our personal cosmic connection. With clear intellectual understanding of their intent, the Upanishads constitute a program for complete enlightenment: the awakening of the Self in mind, body and heart.
All Vedic meditators, regardless of experience level, are welcome to attend this retreat.
